CHICAGO (November
28, 2006) — CHICAGO, IL – The WPA Film Library has launched a
searchable online listing of exclusive music performance footage
with over 6,500 unique performances. The music database is intended
to help clients search quickly for specific songs & artists, and/or
to acquaint themselves with WPA’s vast music holdings.
WPA represents over a
dozen classic music/variety shows with iconic rock 'n' roll, pop,
country, R&B and soul performances from stars such as Johnny Cash &
June Carter Cash, The Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, James Brown,
Loretta Lynn, Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Tito Puente, Etta James, Mel
Tillis, Dolly Parton, Sly & the Family Stone, Dusty Springfield, and
The Supremes.
